Farmers Market
Winter
Dorchester Winter Farmers’ Market
Every Saturday from late January to the end of March, the Great Hall at Codman Square Health Center becomes a lively farmers’ market where people can buy fresh produce, and several other items. Vendors accept SNAP/HIP/EBT, and you can usually get SNAP matches.
The Dorchester Winter Farmers’ Market was originally organized by the Dorchester Community Food Co-Op in 2012 and became the first winter farmers’ market in Boston. A partnership between Codman Square Health Center and the Codman Square Neighborhood Council now operates the market.
Summer
Codman Square Farmers’ Market – aka Codman Square Social Saturdays
The Codman Square Farmers’ Market heads outside on Saturdays during the summer and is a lot more than just a market. Called Social Saturdays, each one is sponsored by a different community organization and the Social Saturdays are a fun place to bring the whole family!
