MassHealth Members Receiving Mental Health Care Needed for Opinions

MassHealth wants to hear from its members or member caretakers who use mental health or substance use disorder services.

If you or a family member who is a MassHealth client has undergone any behavioral health or substance abuse disorder counseling in the past 12 months, your experiences can help researchers.

The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is working with the MassHealth Office of Behavioral Health to learn about the experiences people have had in receiving services for a substance use disorder or a mental health condition. Hearing from family members or caregivers is important to them as well.

The discussion will last an hour and you will receive a $50 gift card for your time. The information you share with us today will remain confidential, with two exceptions. If we become concerned about your immediate safety, we are required to get you help and to speak with others who can keep you safe. Also, if we learn about the abuse or neglect of children we are required to report this to others who can investigate.
