Expect better care with centering prenatal groups
If you are pregnant, congratulations!
We want you to have a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and baby. Codman’s Centering Prenatal groups can help.
At a Centering Prenatal group, you’ll join 8 to 10 women at the same point in their pregnancy as you. You’ll see your medical provider like you
would for any prenatal appointment, but you’ll get the added benefit of connecting with other women in your community on their prenatal
journey. You’ll get your medical care while receiving and providing support for other women in your community.
Centering Prenatal groups follow the recommended schedule of 10 prenatal visits, but each visit is 90 minutes to 2 hours long — giving
women 10 times more time with their medical provider, as well as with other expecting moms.
After your medical provider completes a health assessment, we will open up a discussion with the group to address important and timely health topics, while leaving time to discuss what’s important to the group. The group will cover nutrition, common discomforts, stress management, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and infant care.
