Phillomin “Philly” Laptiste Joins Codman’s Board of Directors

Codman Square Health Center is pleased to announce that Phillomin “Philly” Laptiste, a community leader and long-time advocate for health and equity, has joined our Board of Directors.

Philly currently works as the Chief People Officer at Community Care Cooperative (C3), an accountable care organization (ACO) that partners with health centers and independent practices across Massachusetts to improve patient care. Since joining C3 in 2021, she has played a critical role in shaping its human resources, compliance, patient engagement, and diversity and equity initiatives.

Philly is a second-generation Bowdoin-Geneva resident and has dedicated her career to improving the health of her community. She spent more than a decade at Bowdoin Street Health Center, ultimately serving as its Executive Director. Under her leadership, the health center expanded services, launched a wellness center, and was honored with the Mayoral Prize for Innovations in Primary Care.

Philly’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional roles. She co-chaired the Bowdoin Geneva Alliance and Friends of Geneva Cliffs, championed neighborhood improvement efforts, and inspired others to give back. In 2017 and 2018, she ran the Boston Marathon for Team BIDMC, and in 2018 she was recognized as a YMCA Achiever for her dedication to community service.

Her impact is also felt citywide. As one of seven Commissioners on Boston’s Board of Health, Philly helps shape policies that advance health equity across the city. She has also lent her expertise as an adjunct professor and advisory board member at Suffolk University’s Healthcare Administration Program, where she helps prepare the next generation of health leaders.

Codman is excited to have Philly on its Board and we are looking forward to collaborating with her as we steer through the upcoming years.
