Substance Use

Codman Square Health Center has offered medication assisted treatment since Suboxone became available for prescription in 2003. Since then, treatment services have changed and expanded, but have mainly centered out of primary care. With funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Tufts Medical Center – Dorchester Health Initiative, and GE, CSHC has been able to expand our service offerings to include complex care management by a nurse specializing in substance use treatment, a community health worker, two therapists, and a program manager. Services that we offer include: Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for alcohol and opioid use disorders, short and long-term psychotherapy for all substance use disorders, case management, group therapy, as well as outreach and educational programming.
