Dental Care

Codman Square's Dental Department continually strives to provide the best dental care possible and never ceases to explore innovative ways to advance our services.

We welcome all patients starting from their first tooth, usually around 6 months old.

Are you in dental PAIN?

Use our Dental Emergency form to find out what to expect from your visit.

In addition to urgent dental care, our services include all aspects of general dentistry, such as: comprehensive examinations, radiographs, diagnosis and treatment planning, caries risk assessment, oral cancer screenings, tobacco cessation, surgical and non-surgical tooth cleaning with our hygienists, in-office and take home bleaching, preventative sealant and fluoride treatments, restorations with composite white fillings and amalgam silver fillings, extraction or removal of teeth, root canal therapy, crowns and bridges, implant restoration, fabrication of removal replacement teeth partial and complete dentures.

We strive to deliver high quality, compassionate, timely, and cost-effective dental care to all patients. The dental program also sponsors public health advocacy and community education by setting up health fairs in local schools to proactively avert dental difficulty, through appropriate preventative oral care practices.

In addition, some members of our department have faculty positions at Boston University and Tufts Schools of Dental Medicine. The department provides on-site training to Boston University and Tufts students in dentistry and oral hygiene over the course of 5 to 10 week externships.

Codman Square's Dental Department is also privileged to work with Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Resident Dentists. Through the AEGD programs we can deliver the highest quality of comprehensive dental care to the broadest range of the population with a knowledge, comfort and ease in treating the high-risk patient and under-served segment of the population including: HIV/AIDS, medically compromised, physically handicapped and geriatric populations.

The Dental Department is committed to providing the highest level of service to community. In order to insure this level of service, we have outfitted seven dental operatories at Codman and one at the school based health center with state-of-the-art DENTRIX Dental Systems. This enables our dental staff to create a virtual chart of a patient's oral health and a median by which we can tangibly provide evidence for recommended procedures and preventative care. Specifically through the implementation digital imaging system using DENTRIX, we are able to expertly capture, manipulate and store crisp, clean images which are then directly attached to the patient's electronic chart.
