2017 Public Annual Meeting

Join Codman Square Health Center and U.S. Sentaor Edward Markey for the Codman Square Health Center Public Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 8 at 6:00pm in the Great Hall in Codman Square. The meeting will provide an update on health care: a recap on the current national direction of health care as well as a summary of the past year here at Codman Square Health Center. Food will be provided.

Codman is celebrating National Health Center Week

To celebrate National Health Center Week during August 13-19, Codman will be recognizing its annual Health Center Heroes each day during the week. Health Center Heroes are staff and board members who embody the spirit of Codman and the Health Center movement. Additionally Codman will host the Fresh Truck on Thursday, August 17 from 11am-2pm. Thanks to BMC HealthNet Plan, the first 100 shoppers will receive free $10 in fruits and vegetables. Codman will also be celebrating National Health Center week at the Ashmont Farmers Market on Friday, August 18 from 4-7pm with raffles, giveaways and health information. Lastly, Codman will host Social Saturdays in Codman Square Park with a Block Party featuring a variety of activities, giveaways and food. Come join us!

Dorchester Knows is a collaboration of community, religious, business and public health organizations that aims to help all Dorchester residents ages 15-65 learn their HIV status.

The Clemente Course in the Humanities is now recruiting students!

What is the Clemente Course?

The Clemente Course in the Humanities offers high-quality education and instruction to a group of 20-30 residents of Boston over a period of seven months. You will study Art History, Philosophy, American History, Literature, Writing and Critical Thinking, all to help you develop cultural knowledge, academic skills and increases self-confidence.

All students receive 6 college credits upon completion of the course.
