Volunteer as a Tax Preparer! Help us beat our $4 million record!
The DotWell partner health centers (Codman Square Health Center and Dorchester House Multi-Service Center) offer free income tax preparation to hard-working low income families in our community through the Boston EITC Coalition free tax prep program. Over the past 8 years, our sites have assisted thousands of Dorchester families to keep their FULL tax refund where it belongs…in their pockets! (Last year we returned over $4 million!)
This year, more than ever, area families with simple tax returns need your help. Please consider joining our team of tax volunteers and contributing 4 hours a week Now - April at one of our neighborhood tax sites.
We provide IRS training and certification for free, and your efforts insure that hundreds of thousands of dollars stay in the pockets of the families that need them most. Our public walk-in tax sites are open Monday and Wednesday evenings 4pm - 8pm and Saturdays 9-12 and 10-2. Other related volunteer opportunities are also available. In these challenging times — when we’d all like to do more to help those most impacted by this lingering recession — a gift of your time becomes cash in hand to a Dorchester family!
Thank you, and please contact Shauntell Foster for more information: shauntell.foster@dotwell.org 617.822.8120
Or go directly to bostontaxhelp.org and click on the Volunteer link. Select Codman Square or Dorchester House as your volunteer location!
